5th annual MAG 5k FALL FLASH
Held annually on the first Saturday of November
... Walkers welcome to participate
Saturday, November 2, 2013
The course for this event is a popular one – it crosses the Susquehanna River via the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Rt. 462) between Lancaster & York County which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event. Enjoy the scenic course against the fall foliage of the river valley. The Run begins in Wrightsville at 8:30 am and finishes in “record time” against this autumn backdrop. Pre-registration is available and includes a selection of shirt options. Please refer to the registration form for details. Participants may also register on the day of the Run beginning at 7:30 am. The Run is held rain or shine. For more information call 717-684-5249. Walkers and those with strollers welcome to participate. Please, no pets.
Why are the letters"MAG" at the beginning of this race name? Shortly before the inaugural running of this event in 2009, Melissa A. Glenn, then the director of the Susuquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, suddenly passed away. The SVCC Board of Directors named this event in her honor and memory.
Registration forms for the 2013 Fall Flash will be emailed to former participants in February, you may also find it by clicking on the links below.
