SVCC STAFF

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is staffed by two full-time employees. Duties shared by these two positions include coordinating fundraisers, promoting area businesses, coordinating volunteers to man the Visitors Center, scheduling networking and educational opportunities for business leaders, and much more.

Executive Director - Kathleen Hohenadel
Kathy assumed the role of Executive Director of SVCC in January, 2010, following a career in education. Kathy is the representative of the Chamber in the public eye; hers is the face you will become familiar with at ribbon cuttings, grand openings, business mixers and breakfast meetings. She interacts with the community and general public as well as with local business folks, political and government entities and media representatives, all while expanding opportunities for Chamber members.

Administrative Director - Amy Hooper
Amy joined the Chamber staff in June, 2005. As her role evolved and her duties and responsibilities expanded, her job was re-titled Administrative Director. In this role, Amy works behind the scenes to develop and support stability and growth for the services provided by the SVCC. She coordinates key SVCC events including two 5K Runs; the Antique, Art & Craft Show; a duathlon; and the Bridge Bust. Amy also manages the Visitors Center and its role in promoting local interests.

SVCC VOLUNTEERS

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce gratefully acknowledges the contributions of time and effort given by its volunteers. These people donate their time to serve in the Visitors Center, greeting visitors to the area and helping to provide needed directions. These individuals are the very public face of the Chamber.

SVCC LEADERSHIP

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce is governed by a Board of Directors whose membership is representative of the communities and business organizations served by SVCC. The Board of Directors meets monthly to review the progress of fundraising initiatives and to provide administrative direction. Board members serve a three-year term, with one-third of the Board seats expiring each year. Currently, there are twenty-one members of the SVCC Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors elects its leadership. An elected officer advances through several positions. The Second Vice-President moves into the First Vice-President Role before assuming the role of President. That same person then serves as Past President before serving as Personnel Chair. Each position is a one-year term. In addition, the leadership includes a Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer.
